Wolffish with Gremolata

One of the Salties Crew’s “Afi” or Granddad, was a fisherman on a small boat. he bought that boat when he retired as a captain on a freight vessel; and he took it seriously. It was not a hobby in any way, he became a commercial fisherman. He had been on one in his earlier years, so for him, he was going back to his roots. The ocean was his workplace, and had been for his entire life; where he had seen it all. He knew good stories to tell his grandchildren when they gathered around him and listened with their spirits high. One story was about when he caught a big Wolffish with long fangs. When he got it into his boat, he lost his grip and dropped the wolffish. Using its big and long fangs, the Wolffish attached the old man, and sunk his teeth into his rubber boots. The old man was fast and managed to curl up his toes. The fist, angry being disturbed this way, ripped the boot in half! The kids imagination took off, Wolffish, must be like a Kraken…that Salties Crew member did not eat Wolffish until years later.
