Halibut in Teriyaki

Atlantic Halibut is the largest species of flatfish in the world. It can reach 15 feet and over 700 pounds. Only swordfish, tuna, and some sharks can reach a greater size than the Atlantic Halibut. Fishermen have reported finding various indigestible objects in halibut such as pieces or iron and wood. Its a meaty fish, often cooked like red meat, and is often cooked on the BBQ. It tastes similar to its relative; the Pacific Halibut.

Ingredients

For 5 People

Fish

1000 g Salties Halibut

1/2 cup Teriyaki sauce

2 tbsp Soy sauce

3 Garlic gloves, pressed

1 tbsp Ginger root, grated

1/2 Red Chilli, deseeded and chopped

Pan Fried Veggies

Leek, chopped

Zucchini, chopped

Pepper

Mushrooms

Olive oil

Directions


Fish

  1. Blend the Teriyaki, soy sauce, Garlic, ginger, and chilli in a bow. Smear the fish with the blend and grill it on the BBQ for 5 min on both sides. Move it to the heat rack and cook for another 5 min.
  2. Pour the mix over the fish regularly while cooking
  3. Pour some mix over the Halibut when serving, the remainder of the Teriyaki mix goes into the veggies

Pan Fried Veggies

  1. Fry all the veggies on a pan, stir in the rest of the Teriyaki mix
  2. Enjoy!
