Grilled Monkfish with Garlic

Monkfish is unique. It tastes and is similar in texture to lobster which means that its culinary potential is incredible. This recipe is rustic and simple, the spices bring out the taste of the Monkfish while the garlic intensifies the taste. It tastes seriously amazing.

We recommend serving with grilled potatoes and green salad. Note that when grilling, an aluminum tray is recommended since the oil may burn if you put the Monkfish directly on the grill.

Ingredients

For 4 People

600 g Monkfish fillets or loins

4 Garlic gloves

1 tbsp fresh Thyme

1 tbsp fresh Basil

1 cup Canola oil

Salt and pepper

Directions


  1. Clean and pat dry the Monkfish. Season it with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Finely chop down the garlic, thyme, and basil and mix together with the oil in a bowl. Roll the Monkfish in the mixture and set it aside for 2 hours.
  3. Place the Monkfish on an aluminum tray on the grill or directly on the grill. Grill for 10 minutes.
