Barbecue haddock

Pan fried Haddock is fantastic, but imagine adding BBQ sauce to it. This recipe has a kick, the barbecue sauce and honey give the Haddock a unique taste and experience. It goes perfectly with relish and home fried onion.

We highly suggest trying this recipe with our Family Remoulade and Salties Rye Bread. The remoulade is a family classic and the Salties Rye Bread is a tradition that has been modified over generations, these two additions will make this dish even more amazing 🙂

This recipe serves four people.

Method

Barbecue sauce
2 tsp Honey
Bread crumbs, dried
4 Haddock fillets
Butter

Place the barbecue sauce and honey on a plate and mix while placing the dried bread crumbs on another plate. The amount of barbecue sauce is up to you, if you run out of BBQ sauce and honey mix, you can always double the honey and sauce.

Roll the Haddock fillets in the Barbecue mix, and then in the bread crumbs. Melt the butter in a pan and fry the Haddock for around 5 minutes on each side, flipping the Haddock gently over without making the crumbs fall off.

Once the sides are golden brown, remove from heat and serve.
